Impaired Arrests

Officers with the Peterborough Police Service arrested three drivers for impaired related offences in three different incidents early Saturday morning.

A 56-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after a traffic stop.

Fraud Arrest

A 38-year-old Brampton woman is facing a fraud charge in connection with an incident reported last fall.  

On October 18, 2024, officers with the Fraud Unit received an online report from a Peterborough business about suspicious activity around their accounts.

Distraction Theft Suspects Sought

The Peterborough Police Service is looking for the public’s assistance in connection with a distraction theft.

On December 21, 2024, officers were made aware of the incident at a financial institution in the Monaghan Road and Lansdowne Street area.

Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision - Woodglade Boulevard - Update

There has been a verdict in the case of a motor vehicle collision on Woodglade Boulevard in Peterborough on March 23, 2023, that resulted in the death of a 3-year-old girl. 

On Friday, January 24, 2025, the driver of the vehicle, a 43-year-old Peterborough woman was found guilty of careless driving.

Impaired Arrest

A 19-year-old Warkworth man is facing impaired charges after a traffic stop Thursday night.

At approximately 11:00pm on January 23, 2025, officers on general patrol spotted a vehicle travelling with its rear lights off near The Parkway and The Kingsway.

A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Wednesday evening. 

At approximately 8:15pm on January 22, 2025, officers were called to a building on George Street North and Brock Street about two unwanted people.

Theft Arrest

A 36-year-old Peterborough woman is facing two dozen theft charges after incidents that happened over a two-month period.

In early December 2024, online reports were filed regarding a series of thefts from the business in the Chemong Road and Milroy Drive area.

Shoplifting and Breach Arrests

A 44-year-old Peterborough man and a 45-year-old Peterborough woman are facing charges after a shoplifting incident Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 5:30pm on January 16, 2025, officers with the Community FIRST unit responded to a shoplifting incident at a box store on Lansdowne Street West.
