Theft Suspects Sought

Officers with the Peterborough Police Service are investigating after a resident reported a pickpocketing incident Monday.

At approximately 1:00pm on February 10, 2025, a 75-year-old resident reported that he had been running errands when he was approached by a man and a woman in the north parking lot at Lansdowne Place Mall near Lansdowne Street and Monaghan Road.

Mischief Arrest

A 30-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a disturbance at a Peterborough business Friday.

At approximately 1:30pm on February 7, 2025, officers were called the business in the Bethune Street and Charlotte Street area about a man causing a disturbance, pulling the fire alarm and pulling a thermostat from the wall.

Possession of Stolen Property Arrest

A 36-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after two theft reports.

At approximately 12:00pm on February 6, 2025, officers with the Community FIRST Unit located a suspect matching the description of the male in the theft reports in the area of Aylmer Street and Simcoe Street.

Windsor murder suspect arrested in Peterborough

The Windsor Police Service, in collaboration with the Peterborough Police Service, has arrested a 19-year-old suspect for first-degree murder and a 16-year-old youth for accessory to murder.

On January 27, 2025, police responded to the 400 block of Wyandotte Street East in Windsor after receiving a report of an unresponsive man outdoors.

Drug Investigation Arrest

A 26-year-old Peterborough woman is facing drug-related charges after a joint investigation between the Peterborough Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). 

The Peterborough Police Service Drug Unit and the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) began this investigation in the summer of 2024 after an increase in drug trafficking activity throughout Peterborough and the surrounding area.

A 61-year-old Peterborough male is recovering after officers found him outside in Jackson Park Wednesday night.

On February 5, 2025, officers received a call about a male who had not shown up for a medical appointment.

A 41-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after an incident Tuesday night.

At approximately 9:30pm on February 4, 2025, officers were called to a break and enter at a residence in the Stewart Street and King Street area.

A 32-year-old Peterborough man is facing fifteen (15) charges after an incident Sunday.

On Sunday, February 2, 2025, officers were made aware of an unwanted male in a residence in the Towerhill Road and Hilliard Street area.

Officers with the Peterborough Police Service arrested three drivers for impaired related offences in three different incidents early Saturday morning.

A 56-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after a traffic stop.

Fraud Arrest

A 38-year-old Brampton woman is facing a fraud charge in connection with an incident reported last fall.  

On October 18, 2024, officers with the Fraud Unit received an online report from a Peterborough business about suspicious activity around their accounts.
