    Mischief Arrest

    A 47-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a number of business windows were smashed overnight. 

    At approximately 12:50am on Friday, July 11, 2025, officers were called to the area of Hunter Street between Aylmer and George Streets.

    Drug Arrest

    A 48-year-old Peterborough man is facing drug trafficking charges.

    At approximately 10:50am on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, after ongoing investigations into drug trafficking in the city of Peterborough, members of the Peterborough Police Service Drug Unit conducted an investigation in the area of Reid Street and McDonnel Street.

    Traffic Initiative – Stop Signs

    Officers with the Peterborough Police Service Traffic Unit conducted a traffic blitz in the subdivision in the area of Lily Lake Road and York Drive in mid-June. 

    In all, tickets were issued for:

    • Failing to stop (9)
    • Careless Driving (1)
    • Brake lights not working
    • Insecure load
    • No muffler
    • Improper Emission equipment

    A reminder to motorists to be aware of stop signs in neighbourhoods, to stop and look before proceeding.

    Impaired Arrest

    A 50-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after an incident Friday evening.

    At approximately 7:00pm on July 4, 2025, officers were called about a disturbance and possible impaired driver in the area of Marsh Avenue.

    Stolen Vehicles

    Officers with the Peterborough Police Service are investigating after two thefts of Toyota vehicles were reported.

    Warrant Arrest

    A 37-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants was arrested Wednesday evening.

    At approximately 7:20pm on June 18, 2025, officers on general bike patrol spotted a man wanted on warrants for theft over $5000, theft under $5000 as well as failing to comply with release orders and an appearance notice.
