    Assault with a Weapon Arrest

    A 37-year-old Peterborough man is in custody and facing multiple charges after a disturbance that happened over several blocks Monday night.

    At approximately 9:30pm on October 13, 2025, officers received several calls about a man carrying a 2x4 piece of wood who had broken a business window.

    Weapons Dangerous Arrest

    A 28-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after altercations Wednesday evening with several neighbours in her building.

    At approximately 9:30pm on October 8, 2025, officers were called to a residential building on Monaghan Road south of Lansdowne Street.

    A 34-year-old Peterborough man wanted on 5 separate warrants was arrested on Saturday by officers at a local business.

    At approximately 8:30pm on Saturday October 4, 2025, officers were in the area Lansdowne Street and Monaghan Road.

    Head of the Trent/Homecoming weekend (October 3-5, 2025) is here, the Peterborough Police Service and Trent University gathered to speak to the importance of celebrating safely.

    Impaired Arrest

    A 45-year-old Douro-Dummer man is facing impaired charges after an incident early Wednesday morning.

    At approximately 12:05am on October 1, 2025, an officer on general patrol spotted a vehicle being driven erratically in the Water and Hilliard Street area.

    Warrant Arrest; Firearm Located

    Two people from Peterborough are facing charges after an investigation into an incident in September.

    At approximately 8:20pm on September 21, 2025, officers were called to Armour Hill after several people reported seeing a man waving a firearm from a vehicle before the vehicle drove off.

    Indecent Act Arrest

    A 33-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Sunday afternoon.

    At approximately 1:30pm on September 28, 2025, officers were called to Beavermead Park about a man exposing himself while walking around.

  • Peterborough Police Service receives provincial grant to enhance MCIT program

    Thanks to a MCRT (Mobile Crisis Response Team) Enhancement Grant from the Government of Ontario, the Peterborough Police Service is teaming up with Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) to increase the number of MCIT (Mobile Crisis Intervention Teams) they put on the street. 

    The provincial investment of $240,000 over two years (2025-2026 and 2026-2027) will enable the Service to create a third team of a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and a qualified officer.
