    Attempted Arson

    Officers with the Peterborough Police Service are investigating after an attempted arson at a Peterborough business early Monday morning.

    At approximately 3:22am on July 28, 2025, officers were called after a gas can was thrown through a window of the business in a plaza near Lansdowne Street West and Webber Avenue.

    Warrant/Weapons Arrest

    A 35-year-old Peterborough man wanted on a warrant is facing more charges after an incident Thursday morning.

    At approximately 9:30am on July 24, 2025, a K9 officer on general patrol spotted the man riding a bicycle in the Aylmer Street and Murray Street area.

    A 41-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after several calls to police about a man exposing himself in Jackson Park.

    At approximately 7:00pm on Monday, July 21, 2025, officers arrived at the park and began searching the area.

    Break and Enter Arrest

    A 38-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a residential break and enter Sunday morning.

    At approximately 11:35am on July 20, 2025, officers were called to a residence in the Lansdowne Street West and Brealey Drive area about a break and enter in progress.

  • City of Peterborough Transitions to Next Generation 9-1-1

    Peterborough, ON - With support from the Government of Ontario, the City of Peterborough has transitioned to the Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) network, providing emergency dispatchers, Peterborough Fire Services and Peterborough Police with better and faster access to information during an emergency.

    The Ontario government has provided over $5 million since 2022 to support the City’s transition to NG9-1-1.

    Assault Arrests

    Two teenagers are facing charges after an incident Wednesday evening. 

    At approximately 10:30pm on July 16, 2025, officers on bike patrol in the area of the train bridge near George Street and Dalhousie Street spotted a 15-year-old female wanted for a theft in June.

    Child Pornography Arrest 

    An ongoing investigation into a voyeurism incident in May 2025 has resulted in additional charges against a 20-year-old Peterborough man.

    Officers with the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Peterborough Police Service conducted a search warrant at a Peterborough residence Friday morning (July 11, 2025).
