Fraud/Scams Circulating

The Peterborough Police Service is issuing a warning after several reports of scams involving people claiming to be from government agencies.

In one, the person claimed to be from the Department of Justice and in another the scammer claimed to be from Immigration and Border Services.

Impaired Arrest

A 19-year-old Peterborough man is facing an impaired charge after an incident Thursday night.

At approximately 9:00pm on May 8, 2025, officers were called to the area of Armour Hill after report of a collision between two vehicles and one vehicle fleeing the scene.

Weapons & Drug Arrest

A 23-year-old Oshawa man is facing charges after an investigation by officers with the Peterborough Police Service Drug Unit.

In March 2025, the Peterborough Police Service responded to a robbery.

Weapons Arrest

A 50-year-old Peterborough man is facing several charges after an incident Monday evening.

At approximately 8:00pm on May 5, 2025, officers were called about an unwanted male in a building in the Rogers Street and Hunter Street East area.

Impaired Arrest

A 33-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after a collision in Peterborough.

At approximately 9:30pm on Friday, May 2, 2025, officers were called to the area of The Parkway and Lansdowne Street West about a collision in a parking lot.

At approximately 2:45pm on May 1, 2025, officers were called to the area of George Street North and Murray Street.

Theft from Vehicle Suspect Sought

Officers with the Peterborough Police Service Street Crime Unit are searching for a suspect after a shotgun was taken from a vehicle.

At approximately 5:00am on Monday, April 28, 2025, officers were called to a residence in the Weller Street and Wallis Drive area.

A 28-year-old Peterborough man is facing several charges after an incident early Tuesday morning. 

At approximately 3:45 am on April 29, 2025, officers were called to Peterborough Regional Health Centre after a report of a disturbance in the Emergency Department.

Motor Vehicle Collision – Sherbrooke Street

Officers with the Peterborough Police Service investigated a fatal motor vehicle collision early Sunday morning.

At approximately 4:15am on April 27, 2025, officers were called to Sherbrooke Street West just east of Highway 7 about a damaged vehicle in the ditch.
