Sudden Death

Officers with the Peterborough Police Service were on scene on Barnardo Avenue between Churchill Drive and O'Carroll for a sudden death investigation today Tuesday, January 21, 2025. At this time the death is not considered suspicious.

Theft Arrest

A 36-year-old Peterborough woman is facing two dozen theft charges after incidents that happened over a two-month period.

In early December 2024, online reports were filed regarding a series of thefts from the business in the Chemong Road and Milroy Drive area.

Shoplifting and Breach Arrests

A 44-year-old Peterborough man and a 45-year-old Peterborough woman are facing charges after a shoplifting incident Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 5:30pm on January 16, 2025, officers with the Community FIRST unit responded to a shoplifting incident at a box store on Lansdowne Street West.

Woman Rescued from Water

A woman is safe after accidentally falling into the water while walking along the path near the Otonabee River in the George Street and Dalhousie Street area.

At approximately 8:00pm on January 14, 2025, officers received a call about a woman in the water.

Theft Arrest

A 44-year-old Brampton man is facing charges after an incident at a Peterborough business Monday night.

At approximately 7:00pm on January 13, 2025, officers were called to the Home Depot at Lansdowne Street and Park Street about two suspicious males.

Assault Arrest

A 36-year-old Peterborough man wanted on a warrant is facing several more charges after an incident Sunday morning.

At approximately 6:30am on January 12, 2024, officers were called to a residence in the Towerhill Road and Hilliard Street area about a disturbance.

Warrant Arrest

A 28-year-old man wanted on warrants in Peterborough and Durham Region was arrested Friday morning.

At approximately 11:40am on January 10, 2025, officers on foot patrol in the Simcoe Street and Aylmer Street area spotted a man known to be wanted on warrants for theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and arson – damage to property in Peterborough in connection with two incidents in October 2024.
