    An 88-year-old Bobcaygeon man is facing charges after an incident Tuesday night.

    At approximately 11:00pm on August 26, 2025, officers were called to a business parking lot on Chemong Road after a male reported a man had attempted to solicit him from his vehicle.

    Stunt Driving Charge

    A 24-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges, including a stunt driving charge after a traffic stop in Peterborough on Saturday morning.

    At approximately 7:30am on August 23, 2025, an officer with the Traffic Unit was on general patrol in the Clonsilla Ave and Spillsbury Drive area.

    Theft Under Arrest

    A 36 year old Peterborough woman is facing charges after a theft from a business Wednesday afternoon.

    At approximately 4:00pm on Wednesday August 20, 2025, officers with the Community FIRST Unit were dispatched to a business in the area of Charlotte Street and Aylmer Street for a theft in progress.

    Suspects Sought in Drive-By Shooting

    Officers with the Peterborough Police Service are investigating after a residence was shot at Tuesday night.

    At approximately 10:50pm on August 19, 2025, officers were called to a residence in the Rubidge Street and Dalhousie Street area after reports of several gun shots and a vehicle leaving the scene.

    Utter Threats/Fail to Comply with Probation Order Arrest

    A 23-year-old Peterborough man wanted in connection with several theft incidents from last week and failing to comply with probation is facing new charges after an incident Sunday morning.

    At approximately 9:45am on August 17, 2025, an officer on general patrol witnessed a pedestrian crossing against traffic in the Charlotte Street and Aylmer Street area.

    A 49-year-old Peterborough man wanted on an Ontario-wide warrant for another policing jurisdiction is facing new charges after an incident Saturday evening.

    At approximately 6:50pm on August 16, 2025, officers were called to a residence in the Southlawn Drive and Otonabee Drive area.

    Suspicious Death Investigation Update #2

    A 40-year-old Peterborough man is facing another charge in connection with a suspicious death. 

    As a result of further investigation, the accused has been charged with:

    • Second Degree Murder

    The accused has also been charged with Indignity to Dead Body.

    Human Trafficking Arrests

    Detectives with the Peterborough Police Service Human Trafficking Unit have made two arrests in connection with a five-month investigation.

    During the investigation, officers learned that the female victim had been befriended by the accused woman and forced into sex work, assaulted and held for a period of time in another city before she was able to escape.
