Assault Arrest

A 25-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident Wednesday evening.

At approximately 6:10pm on October 14, 2026, officers were called to a parking lot on Brock Street between George Street and Aylmer Street about a disturbance involving a vehicle and a possible firearm. Upon arrival, officers learned that the vehicle had left the area after the driver engaged in a confrontation with several people. Through investigation officers were able to identify the driver of the vehicle which was then located in the Perry Street and Aylmer Street area.  The man was taken into custody. Officers did not find a firearm during a search of the suspect and vehicle after arrest.

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Peterborough was arrested and charged with:

• Assault
• Uttering Threats - Cause death or Bodily Harm

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, October 15, 2026.
