Talwood Drive Incident
The Peterborough Police Service responded to a residence in the Talwood Drive and Goodfellow Road area at approximately 10:00am on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. The Emergency Response Team attended to help bring the situation to a safe resolution. The Peterborough Police Service would like to thank the public for their patience during the incident.
Assault Arrest
A 23-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged with assault after an incident Tuesday night.
At approximately 10:00pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, officers were called to the area of New Romaine Street and Grady Ave for an assault. Officers arrived on scene and located a male who had suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Through the investigation it was determined the parties involved in the altercation were known to each other. The 23-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
The victim was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for further treatment.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to attend court on November 24, 2026.
Impaired Arrest
A 36-year-old Etobicoke man has been charged with impaired after a traffic stop on Wednesday morning.
At approximately 3:30am on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 officers were made aware of a suspicious vehicle in relation to another call for service. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old Etobicoke man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired
The accused was released on an appearance notice and scheduled to attend court on October 13, 2026.
