Motor Vehicle Collision
Two people were sent to hospital after a collision at Parkhill Road and Chandler Crescent Tuesday morning.
At approximately 7:08am on September 15, 2026, officers were called to the intersection about a two-vehicle collision. Two people were taken to hospital before both were taken to Toronto hospitals.
The Peterborough Police Traffic Unit attended, and the road was closed while they completed a reconstruction investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
Fail to Comply with Probation/Prohibited Driver Arrest
A 61-year-old Cavan Monaghan Township man is facing several charges after a traffic stop.
At approximately 1:15am on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, officers on general patrol spotted a vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Lansdowne Street and Monaghan Road. Upon speaking with the driver, officers learned that they were a suspended driver and also a prohibited driver. It was also learned that the driver is currently bound by a probation order with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
As a result, a 61-year-old Cavan Monaghan Township man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while prohibited
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Improper number plate light (Highway Traffic Act)
- Driving while under suspension (Highway Traffic Act)
The vehicle was impounded for 45 days and the accused was released on an appearance notice. The accused is scheduled to appear in court December 8, 2026.
