Hit and Run Information Sought
The Peterborough Police Service is currently investigating a Fail to Remain collision that happened on Sunday, September 13th, 2026.
At approximately 4:33pm, the suspect vehicle was travelling northbound on Monaghan Road, just south of Sherbrooke Street. The vehicle left the roadway, drove onto the sidewalk, striking a pedestrian from behind. The vehicle then returned to the roadway and continued northbound on Monaghan Road without stopping.
The vehicle appears to be a dark-coloured SUV and may have sustained some damage to the front passenger side light or grill.
The 23-year-old pedestrian suffered minor injuries as a result of this collision.
At this time there is no known connection between the pedestrian and vehicle.
Officers conducted a canvass in the area and are now reaching out the public for more information. Anyone who was in the area or has information after watching the video or looking at the photo is asked to come forward.
It is believed that the suspect vehicle continued northbound on Monaghan Road until Parkhill Road, at which time it turned and headed west on Parkhill Road.
