Stunt Driving Arrest
A 21-year-old Peterborough man is facing a stunt driving charge after a stop on Lansdowne Street Monday morning.
At approximately 9:00am on Monday, July 13, 2026, an officer on general patrol was conducting speed enforcement near Lansdowne Street and Ashburnham Drive. The officer recorded a vehicle going 100 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone. The officer activated his emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop.
As a result of the investigation, the 21-year-old was issued tickets for:
- Careless driving
- Stunt driving
- Speeding 50+km/hr over posted limit
The driver was also given a 30 day license suspension and a 14 day vehicle impoundment.

Warrant Arrest
A Peterborough youth was arrested Monday morning on the strength of a warrant.
At approximately 9:30am officers were called to an address on Braidwood Ave for an unwanted person. Officers arrived to the address and located the youth. The youth was placed under arrest on the strength of the warrant for assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and uttering threats.
The youth was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to attend court on August 24, 2026.
Warrant Arrest
A 61-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants was arrested Monday morning.
At approximately 10:15am, an officer in the area of George Street and Sherbrooke Street observed a man sitting in the area and took him into custody on the strength of the warrant for assault with a weapon and failing to attend court after having appeared.
The man was held in custody and appeared in court on Monday, July 13, 2026.
Warrant Arrest
A 40-year-old Peterborough man wanted on various warrants was arrested Monday afternoon by a Community F.I.R.S.T officer.
At approximately 1:40pm on July 13, 2026, an officer on general patrol in the Rink Street and Aylmer Street area noticed the man walking through a parking lot and took him into custody on the strength of the warrants. The man was arrested on the strength of the warrant for theft under $5,000, fail to comply with a probation order x2, and fail to attend court after having appeared.
The man was held in custody and will appear in court today, July 14, 2026.
Warrant Arrest
A 38-year-old Peterborough man wanted on a warrant was located and arrested Monday by a Community F.I.R.S.T officer.
At approximately 5:20pm on July 13, 2026, an officer on general patrol in the area of Lansdowne Street West and Monaghan Road spotted the man and took him into custody on the strength of the warrant for arson – damage to property and fail to comply with probation.
The man was released on an undertaking and scheduled to attend court on October 6, 2026.
Warrant Arrest
A 44-year-old Peterborough man wanted on warrants was arrested by a Community F.I.R.S.T officer and is facing new charges after an incident Monday night.
At approximately 8:00pm on Monday, July 14, 2026 an officer on general patrol in the area of Lansdowne Street and Monaghan Road observed the man riding a bike and took him into custody on the strength of the warrants for theft under $5,000 x2, obstruct a police officer x2, uttering threats, assault, possession of a schedule I substance x2 and failing to attend court.
During the investigation and arrest, the man was further charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance – Fentanyl
- Possession of a schedule I substance – Crystal Methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule II substance – Hydromorphone
The man was held in custody and will appear in court today, July 14, 2026.
