Warrant/ Drug / Assault Arrest
A 33-year-old Peterborough woman and a 55-year-old Peterborough woman have been arrested on various charges after an incident Tuesday morning.
At approximately 8:00am, officers with the Community F.I.R.S.T team were conducting a stand-by to keep the peace in the area of Wolf Street with the City of Peterborough by-law enforcement, when they recognized a woman who was wanted on warrants. Officers began to place the woman under arrest on the strength of 2 outstanding warrants for:
- Fail to comply with probation x2
- Fail to comply with undertaking x2
- Theft under x2
During the arrest a glass pipe and suspected drugs were located. Officers further charged the accused with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance
The accused was held for court on Tuesday, September 2, 2026.
While officers placed the 33 year-old woman under arrest for the above charges, a 55-year-old woman became upset and assaulted a City of Peterborough by-law officer.
The 55-year-old Peterborough woman was place under arrest and charged with:
- Assault
The accused is currently on a probation order with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused was further charged with:
- Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to attend court on November 24, 2026.
Mischief / Release order/ Probation order Arrest
A 48-year-old Peterborough man is facing new charges after an incident on Tuesday morning.
At approximately 11:00am, officers were called to the area of Bonaccord Street and McDonnel Street for a suspicious person/ a suspicious vehicle. Officers attended the area and located a male sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. After identifying the man, officers conducted a check which returned showing him bound by a release order with multiple conditions, including to not occupy the seat or any motor vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, officers arrested and charged the 48-year-old male for:
- Fail to comply with release order
During the arrest, the man became upset, asking for officers to release him. The man then head butted a police vehicle, causing significant damage to the vehicle. Officers further charged the man with:
- Mischief under $5,000
The accused is also currently on 2 probation orders with multiple conditions, one being to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The 48-year-old Peterborough man was further charged with:
- Fail to comply with probation order x2
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on September 2, 2026.
