Media Release for Thursday, October 22, 2026

The Peterborough Police Service Drug Unit executed a warrant at a Peterborough residence on the morning of Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Officers attended a residence in the area of Jackson Avenue and Albert Street in the early hours of Wednesday morning to execute a drug warrant at a residence. As a result of the investigation, and on the strength of the drug warrant, officers located and arrested multiple individuals on various drug charges.

In total, officers seized:

• 83.9 grams of Fentanyl
• 15.9 grams of Cocaine
• 30 Percocet pills
• $2,351.75 in Canadian currency

A 19-year-old Etobicoke man was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid X2
• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by a Crime under $5,000

A 22-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid X2
• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by a Crime under $5,000

It was discovered that the accused is also currently bound by a release order out of Winnipeg, with conditions not to possess or use any illegal drug. The accused was further charged with:

• Fail to comply with release order  

A 61-year old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid X2
• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by a Crime under $5,000

A 20-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid X2
• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by a Crime under $5,000

The above accused were held in custody and appeared in court on October 21, 2026.

Prohibited Driving / Drug Investigation

During the execution of the drug warrant at the residence, a vehicle was driven into the area occupied by a male driver and female passenger. Officer learned the male was a prohibited driver, therefore, he was arrested. During a search incident to arrest, officers located drugs and Canadian currency.

As a result of the investigation, officers located and seized:

• 115.7 grams of Cocaine
• 10.5 grams Fentanyl
• 42 Dilaudid pills
• $1,064.30 in Canadian currency

A 39-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
• Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by a Crime under $5,000
• Operation While Prohibited

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on October 21, 2026.

The passenger, a 47-year-old Peterborough woman, was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
• Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by a Crime under $5,000

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to attend court on November 17, 2026.

Drug Arrest

A 46-year-old man is facing drug trafficking charges after an incident Wednesday night.

At approximately 11:00pm on October 21, 2026, officers with Community F.I.R.S.T observed multiple people in the area of Stewart Street and Bethune Street and noticed signs of drug use. As officers approached, a male ran from police. Officer took the male into custody. As a result of this investigation, officers located and seized:

• 7.5 grams of Fentanyl
• 4.8 grams of Methamphetamine
• $200 of Canadian currency
• Bear spray
• 3 knives
• A scale

The 46-year-old man was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid
• Possession of a Scheduled I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
• Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by a Crime under $5,000

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, October 22, 2026.
