Indecent Act Arrest
A 36-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after several incidents were reported to police.
On July 8, 2026, officers spoke with the victim who was reporting concerning behaviour of a neighbour. Officers reviewed video evidence of some of the episodes which happened in the early morning hours of July 7, 2026, and included the man knocking on the victim’s windows, yelling, and exposing his genitals toward the home. Officers located the suspect in the Hunter Street and Mark Street area and took him into custody. During a search of the suspect after arrest officers found and seized cocaine.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Indecent Act
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
- Disobeying Order of Court
The accused is currently bound by a court order with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, July 9, 2026.
Commercial Vehicle Inspection
Members of the Peterborough Police Service Traffic Unit conducted a Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspection detail in the City of Peterborough on Monday, June 29, 2026.
As a result of the detail, five (5) inspections were completed. Three (3) of the five (5) vehicles were placed out of service due to a variety of issues.
In total,10 charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) including the following:
- Drive Motor Vehicle with Major Defect in it
- Fail to accurately complete daily inspection report
- Improper braking system - commercial motor vehicle
- Fai to enter defect in daily inspection report
- Drive - Handheld Communication Device
- Red Light - Fail to Stop
Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspection trained officers will continue to conduct enforcement details through the year.
