Shooting Arrest – March 8, 2026
A second man wanted in connection with a shooting earlier this year has been arrested.
Through continued investigation, officers with the Peterborough Police Service Major Crime Unit were able to identify the second suspect and on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, along with the Peterborough Police Service Emergency Response Team, conducted a search warrant at a residence in Toronto.
As a result, 24-year-old Zuhib Mohamed of Toronto was arrested and charged with:
- Attempt to Commit Murder using Firearm
- Aggravated Assault
- Robbery using Firearm (Restricted or Prohibited)
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court Thursday, May 28, 2026.
The Peterborough Police Service is not looking for any other suspects in connection with this incident and thanks the Toronto Police Service for their assistance with investigation.
