Criminal Harassment Arrest

A 30-year-old Peterborough man is facing 2 charges of criminal harassment after an incident on Thursday evening.

On Thursday, February 5. 2026, officers were called to a residence in Peterborough for an unwanted man knocking on the victim’s door and throwing objects at the windows. The victim informed officers there had been previous incidents between the two parties involved, where the accused had climbed a tree to get onto the roof of the victim’s residence.

Officers attended the area and located a man matching the description given to police, holding flowers and chocolate.

As a result of the investigation, a 30 year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with :

  • Adult Criminal Harassment – repeatedly follow, repeatedly communicate with, watch and beset, threatening conduct

During the investigation, it was discovered that the man was also wanted on a warrant for a pervious similar incident. The accused was arrested on the strength of the warrant for:

  • Adult Criminal Harassment – repeatedly follow, repeatedly communicate with, watch and beset, threatening conduct

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, February 6, 2026.

 

Warrant and Drug Arrest

A 36-year-old Peterborough woman wanted on multiple warrants is facing new charges after an incident on Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026, officer on general patrol observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign in the area of Dalhousie Street and Aylmer Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop and learned that the passenger of the vehicle was wanted on warrants.

As a result of the investigation, the 36-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested on the strength of the warrant for:

  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Fail to Attend for Fingerprints
  • Fail to Attend Court
  • Fail to Comply With a Release Order
  • Fail to Attend Court While on Release Order

The accused was transported back to the station to be booked into custody. During the process, drugs were located. The accused was further charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, February 6, 2026.

 

Sexual Assault & Sexual Interference Arrest

A 52-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges of sexual assault and sexual interference on a child after an investigation on Thursday.

On Thursday, February 5, 2026, officers were made aware of a 14-year-old girl who had not disclosed her whereabouts to her family. The family had concerns for the safety of the girl after finding conversations between the 52-year-old man and 14-year-old girl.

During the investigation, officers attended various addresses in attempts to locate both parties.

As a result of the investigation, the 14-year-old was located inside a residence with the accused.

The 52-year-old man was arrested and charged with:

  • Sexual Interference
  • Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 Years Old
  • Luring a Person Under 16 Year Old

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, February 6, 2026.
