Drug Arrest

Two Peterborough residents are facing drug charges after an investigation at the Peterborough Regional Airport.

At approximately 11:30am on August 6, 2026, officers attended the Peterborough Regional Airport on information regarding a chartered plane for a domestic flight. Through the investigation, drugs and an imitation firearm were located and a 40-year old Peterborough man and a 41-year-old woman were taken into custody.

During a search after arrest, officers seized:

• Imitation firearm
• 38.7 grams of Methamphetamine
• 7.3 grams of Cocaine
• 7.8 grams of Fentanyl
• 148 pills - Hydromorphone
• 862 pills – Dilaudid
• Canadian currency
• Cellphones

As a result of the investigation:

A 40-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

• Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid (other than heroin) x2
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

A 41-year-old woman was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid (other than heroin) x2
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

The accused are being held in custody and will appear in court on August 7, 2026.
