Homicide Update

Two Peterborough women have been charged with obstructing a peace officer in connection with a homicide last month (June 2026).

On Thursday, July 9, 2026, officers located the two women and took them into custody after it was learned they had not been truthful in their comments to officers.

As a result:

A 48-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

• Obstruct Peace Officer

The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court September 29, 2026.

A 65-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:

• Obstruct Peace Officer

The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court September 29, 2026.
