Break and Enter Arrest
A 36-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after a break and enter at a residence Monday morning.
At approximately 9:00am on June 8, 2026, officers were called to the residence in the Cumberland Avenue and Water Street area. Upon arrival, officers learned that the homeowner had heard some commotion near a closed shed and when they looked at their video footage saw a man had entered the shed and was attempting to start a motorcycle. It did not start and the man left the property. Officers searched the area and located a man matching the description given to police a short distance away. During a search after arrest, officers seized a large quantity of pills and a pair of wire cutters.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Break, Enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
- Theft Under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following condition: to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused was held in custody and appeared in court, June 8, 2026.
